Loganair with new Jersey to East Midlands route

Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, strengthened links between Jersey and the UK mainland with the launch of a new route to East Midlands Airport.

The new daily service began on May 31 and marks the second of four new summer routes being introduced from the airline’s Jersey base. It follows the successful launch of flights to Norwich earlier in May, with services to Paris Charles de Gaulle and Bordeaux scheduled to launch later this summer as part of a significant network expansion.

Fares on the Jersey–East Midlands route start from £94 one way.

Ronnie Matheson, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said the new service reflects the airline’s continued investment in Jersey.

Our new East Midlands route is one of four destinations we are launching from our Jersey base this summer and represents a significant investment for the airline.

“Loganair has a long history of connecting island communities with destinations across the UK, supporting both business and leisure travel. We look forward to playing an important role in Jersey’s thriving visitor economy while offering our UK customers even more opportunities to discover this beautiful island.”

Paul Holley, Head of Connectivity at Ports of Jersey, welcomed the new route.

We’re delighted to see Loganair launch its new daily service to East Midlands. It further strengthens connectivity while highlighting the continued growth of Loganair’s network and presence in Jersey.

“Frequent regional air services are essential for keeping islanders connected and provide visitors with greater flexibility and choice when traveling to and from the island.”

Passengers traveling with Loganair benefit from a complimentary 21kg checked baggage allowance, making the airline an attractive option for longer stays and multi-destination trips. Travelers can also access seamless onward connections through Loganair’s partnerships with Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Aer Lingus, with journeys available on a single ticket.
