Loganair welcomes airport strike pause
Regional airline Loganair has hailed the suspension in airport strike action with a new pay offer on the table.
Unions for workers at airports operated by Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL) suspended the action.
They will consider an improved 7% pay deal.
Members rejected an earlier 5% offer.
The airport strikes and work to rule has impacted services at several airports including Dundee, Stornoway and Sumburgh.
“We warmly welcome this positive step forward in negotiations,” Loganair said
“Loganair aims to resume services from Inverness to Kirkwall, Sumburgh, Stornoway and Benbecula as soon as it is practical.”
“We will issue further updates in due course in line with the ballot outcome.”
