London Southend Airport says Alicante flights are an ‘obvious airline win’.

London Southend Airport Business Development Director, Nigel Mayes, says 2023 flights to Alicante are lucrative for airlines.

He said, “We are working tirelessly to get an Alicante service back into our schedules.”

This route will ensure excellent airline yields and load factors”.

The comments come as previously well served routes are yet to fully return.

Airport capacity across London is now back to 95%,

The most profitable of these routes, according to RDC data, is London Southend – Alicante.
