Long haul focus in First Choice peak booking campaign
First Choice kicks off the peak booking season discounting frenzy this week with £1 child places on long haul holidays.
The operator is also cutting £100 off brochure prices for bookings worth a minimum of £999.
First Choice – which is in discussions over the possible sale of its mainstream holiday business – is the first of the big four operators to outline plans to boost summer 2007 holiday bookings.
Thomas Cook will follow later today when it outlines its Christmas/New Year booking campaign.
The First Choice “Cut the Cost” offers cover 300 holidays to more than 50 destinations.
They include 14-nights all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic leading-in at £849 per adult and £1 per child, representing a saving of £414 on the child price.
Fourteen nights self-catering in Barbados from Manchester starts at £464 per person based on two sharing, saving £125 per person.
Other long haul discounts are available to Brazil, Cuba and Sri Lanka, while short haul prices start at £145 per adult for a week’s self-catering in Menorca with free child places and £159 to the Algarve.
The discounts are conditional on bookings being made by January 31.
