Long to join TUI AG executive board

First Choice chief executive Peter Long is to join the executive board of TUI AG.

Long, who is to assume the role of CEO of TUI Travel, the proposed merged First Choice/TUI Tourism businesses, will take up the position with the Germany parent company once the deal is completed.

TUI Northern Europe boss Peter Rothwell will remain a board member as deputy CEO of TUI Travel but Long will represent tourism on the executive board.

TUI AG head Dr Michael Frenzel said: “We are pleased that, with Peter Long as head of our tourism subsidiary, one of Europe’s best respected tourism managers will be part of the top management body of the group.”
