Louis Cruise outlines 2008 Med sailings
Louis Cruise Lines has unveiled details of its 2008 cruise programme based on five ships in the Mediterranean.
The company will run three, four and seven–day cruises from Athens plus week-long and ten-night western Med sailings from Genoa and Marseilles.
Louis will operate the 960-passenger Cristal, 1,050-passenger Aquamarine, 728-passenger Orient Queen, 790-passenger Perla and 688-passenger Coral.
Cristal will operate a series of 29 Splendours of Greece & Turkey sailings from Piraeus every Friday between April 11 and October 31. Calls include overnight in Istanbul, Mykonos, Patmos, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Heraklion and Santorini. The season concludes with four Greece, Turkey and Egypt sailings on October 31, November 7, 14 and 21 to Istanbul, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Alexandria, with an overnight stay, and Santorini.
Having completed its contract as the Arielle, the Aquamarine returns to the Mediterranean for a series of three and four-day alternate sailings from Piraeus every Friday and Monday between March 7 and November 14.
Perla offers additional capacity for Greek Island cruises from May 23 to October 17, with three and four-day cruises from Piraeus.
Orient Queen offers sailings from France and Italy for 19 ten-day itineraries starting on April 27 from Marseilles and April 28 from Genoa through to October 25. Ports of call include Naples, Mykonos, Santorini, Katakolon and Messina.
Coral returns to the Western Med with 32 week-long sailings from April 5 to November 8 every Saturday from Genoa or Sunday from Marseilles to Palma, Almeria, Malaga, Tangier, Gibraltar, Ibiza and Barcelona.
A 16-day Canary Islands cruise will run to Gibraltar, Funchal, La Palma, Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro, Las Palmas, Lanzarote, Casablanca, Malaga, Almeria, Alicante and Barcelona in December 2008.
