Marella Cruises announces US debut
TUI’s cruise line, Marella Cruises, is heading to the Sunshine State.
The line will make its homeporting debut in the US with a summer season based in Port Canaveral.
The Marella Discovery will offer sailings out of Port Canaveral from May 2, 2021, until October 24, 2021.
The 1,830-guest ship will offer Caribbean and Bahamas cruises as well as voyages to New York City.
It will offer 7- and 14-night itineraries with packaged flights from five UK airports to Orlando Sanford.
Reservations go live on November 7.
Port Canaveral CEO John Murray said: "We’re excited that Marella Cruises has selected Port Canaveral as the home port for its first-ever cruises from the United States. It’s another endorsement of our ongoing investments in state-of-the-art terminals."
The cruises will offer nearly a dozen port call options including New York City, an overnight in Tampa, Miami, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and New Orleans.
