Marriott appoints new chief information officer
Marriott International has named Jim Scholefield as new chief information and digital officer.
Scholefield takes over effective February 24 and replaces veteran Bruce Hoffmeister who is retiring but will stay during a transitional period.
Hoffmeister has been with the company for more than three decades.
Scholefield was CIDO at big pharma firm Merck & Co and previously chief information officer at Nike.
He also spent five years as chief technology officer at The Coca-Cola Company.
He is tasked with leading all information technology and digital strategies and reports to Stephanie Linnartz, group president, consumer operations, technology & emerging businesses.
"Jim will play a pivotal role in driving our technology modernization efforts as we embark on a new chapter in the company’s technology journey," said Linnartz.
