1. Mountain Quest – The first online game by Switzerland Tourism!

The game was inspired by the international year of the mountains declared
by the UN, and allows you to test your knowledge about Switzerland. It may
also help you improve your (virtual) mountain fitness. The more you know
about Switzerland, the more summits you will conquer. Find out whether you
are a summit conqueror or a meadow admirerOe Do participate and visit the
unique and varied mountain landscapes of Switzerland. You may even win one
of the many attractive prizes. We wish you good luck!

awarded 2 stars, while the Formule 1 (with no toilets and showers in the

4. British Classic Car Meeting

The British Classic Car Meeting takes place from July 12 to July 14. In
additon to this event, there are other veteran car rallies and events for
heavy motorcycles. A good 160 high-class old timers – cars bearing the
names of Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin & Lagonda, Jaguar & Daimler
and Austin-Hearley – come together every year in chic St.Moritz for a
rally and Concours dElegance.

One of my favourites is this restaurant for art lovers, owned and managed
by a German Chef, is a haven for devotees of French gastronomy. Horst
Petermann was awarded Best Chef of 1997 by the gastronomist Gault &
Millaut and received the title Number 1 of Europe by Zagat the most
important restaurant guide in America. He is undoutedly one of the best in
the country. The German-born Chef has been employed in different parts of
the country in top hotels and has acquired an exceptional flair for
creative cuisine. He is considered one of the truly great personalities of
Swiss gastronomy. His pride and joy is the restaurant that was an art
gallery before he bought it. It certainly adds another highlight to
Zurich’s gold coast.
Located on the side of the main lake road from Zuerich in Kuesnacht, an
exceptional experience is a dinner or lunch at Petermann Kunststuben. His
simple yet extravagant style of culinary art and fine service lifts the
spirit up. Friendly, warm, obliging and very hard-working Petermann works
relentlessly with his wife and colleagues to offer a remarkable culinary
experience in a chic and elegant restaurant with interesting paintings on
the walls revealed by soft lightings, beautiful and generous flower
decorations and well-placed tables and chairs.

8. Interesting days out by rail with a Swiss Pass

The Golden Pass from Montreux to Luzern carries you from the French
speaking region of Switzerland to the German speaking region. If you take
the MOB 10.00am train from Montreux, climbing out of Montreux the views
over Lake Geneva are splendid, you pass through forests and tunnels and
then open out into the farming areas to Montbovon and on to Saanen and
Gstaad. The train terminates at Zweisimmen where you change to the BLS
service to Interlaken Ost. You can leave the train at Interlaken West and
walk through the town to Ost station and then catch the Brunig Line
service to Luzern, but I suggest you stay on the BLS train to Ost station
and then walk across to the boat station and take the BLS boat on Lake
Brienz to Brienz station. You can have a very nice lunch and enjoy the
views from the boat including the Geisbach waterfalls. At Brienz station
you connect again with the Golden Pass train to Luzern. In Luzern there is
of course the famous bridge and the Verkershaus museum !
as well as many other sites, try the boat service from the station to the
lido and walk across the road to the Verkershaus.
