MH370 compensation hearing begins
Almost a decade on, a Beijing court has started proceedings over compensation for MH370 families.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 went missing in 2014 with 239 people on board.
Most were Chinese nationals travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
More than 40 families have filed compensation claims against Malaysia Airlines, Rolls-Royce, Allianz Insurance and Boeing.
However, it will be almost impossible to accurately apportion blame due to the plane still missing without a trace.
They have filed claims of between US$1.4 million to $11.2 million.
The families have also called for a renewed search for the plane.
Over 100 families already reached settlements for between $300,000-$400,000, Chinese state media said.
The case is expected to last until around mid-December.
