MH370 search team finds 19th century shipwreck

Search teams still scouring the Southern Indian Ocean for missing flight MH370 have unearthed a 19th century shipwreck.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau said sonar picked up the wreck on the ocean floor on December 19.
An underwater drone was sent down to capture high-resolution sonar images of the ship.
"It looks like a large iron or steel sailing ship sitting upright and very intact dating from mid-to-late 19th, possibly early 20th century," said museum maritime archaeologist Ross Anderson.
Anderson estimated it was 80 metres long but identifying the vessel would be a tall order.
"It is all but impossible to identify ships or their country of manufacture/port of origin without being able to do more detailed artefact studies, as so many have been lost over the years."
Search teams found another old shipwreck at a similar depth in March last year.
Searchers have still not found any concrete evidence of MH370, which was carrying 239 passengers and crew, and are due to wind down the search if nothing is found by June 2016.
