Mobile firms sign up for holiday booking service

Monday, 28 Apr, 2006 0

Mobile phone service providers ‘3’ and T-Mobile’s Web’n’Walk have signed up for technology offering holiday browsing and booking.

The deals have been struck with Handy Group’s Handy Traveller technology following 02’s i-mode service taking the service last month.

The group’s system allows mobile phone users to check holiday options, book and pay for them on their mobile telephones.

Handy Group has also recruited former Bell Cablemedia CEO Alan Bates as chairman.

Group CEO Michael Lacy said: “Alan brings to the board his valuable experience in strategic planning and communications and an excellent commercial overview.”
