Movenpick signs second resort in Thailand

BANGKOK – Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed its second property in Thailand and will open the Movenpick Resort & Spa Pattaya at the end of 2010.

The five-star, 300-room hotel will be operated by the group under a management agreement with Apex Development Public Company Limited (APEX). The Swiss group is also present in Phuket.

“Pattaya is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Thailand and it is currently investing heavily in its infrastructure in order to firmly position itself as a leading tourist destination,” says Jean Gabriel Pérès, President & CEO, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.
