National Express plans to run more coaches than ever before over the Christmas period – including on Christmas Day when no trains will be running.
The operator said it will more than double the number of coaches it operates on December 25, including those to major airports. It will operate services to Stansted on Christmas Day for the first time this year.
On Boxing Day, the operator said it will have a ‘near normal’ service.
It said advance bookings for the festive season are up 180% year on year while bookings for Christmas Day are up 10%.
