NCL cancels all Asia sailings on Norwegian Spirit
Norwegian Cruise Line has cancelled an entire season in Asia for the Norwegian Spirit.
Due to ‘growing concerns regarding Coronavirus in Asia’ all sailings scheduled from April 15, 2020 through December 7, 2020 are cancelled.
Full refunds will be issued as well as a cruise credit for a future sailing.
NCL will cover up to $300 per person for any airfare change fees, it said in a letter to affected guests and travel agents.
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this causes."
The 24 day voyage from Cape Town, South Africa to Singapore on March 22 will instead be extended to 27 days and return to Athens rather than heading for Asia.
The 2,000 guest ship is currently undergoing a major drydock refurbishment in France.
