New carrier Vietravel Airlines launches
Vietnam’s sixth and newest scheduled airline has taken flight.
Vietravel Airlines launched its maiden flight from Ho Chi Minh City to tourist island Pho Quoc.
It opened sales earlier this month and plans to serve mostly tourist destinations from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
These include Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang and Pho Quoc.
Flights to Hue and Da Nang launch on 27 January and 1 February respectively.
Future plans include expanding its network to Can Tho, Da Lat, Hai Phong and other domestic cities before launching international flights.
The airline currently has three Airbus A321 aircraft.
Vietravel Airlines is a division of Vietravel, which is one of Vietnam’s largest tour operators.
