New four-star hotel to open in London
A former magistrates court in central London is to be transformed into a new four-star hotel.
The Grade II listed Tower Bridge Magistrates Court has been acquired by asset management company the Dominvs Group.
It plans to re-open the property as a 150 to 200-bedroom four-star hotel with restaurant and conference facilities.
The site on Tooley Street is just 200 metres from the iconic Tower Bridge and benefits from good transport links.
"This is a once a decade investment opportunity and its prime location parallel to the Thames River and access to central and South East London, aligns with our London acquisition strategy," said director of Dominvs Group Preet Ahluwalia.
The Dominvs Group specialises in the acquisition, development and management of commercial, industrial and residential property.
It already has four hotels in the UK, two managed by Holiday Inn and two Aston Hotels, and it is building another at Aberdeen Airport.
