New Hyatt line to feature small meetings

Thursday, 12 Dec, 2005 0

Hyatt Hotel’s new lodging line called Hyatt Place is partly aimed at the small meeting market.

The new hotels will feature quick check-in technology with a club-like atmosphere for guests to wine and dine 24 hours a day.

The new line will have several meeting rooms anywhere from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet. Some outlets will have even larger meeting spaces.

The hotel chain did not say how many Hyatt Place hotels will open. Initial properties, however, will be converted from the AmeriSuites brand, acquired by Hyatt this year. The hotels are typically expected to be about 150 rooms.

Guests at Hyatt Place will be greeted by hosts at the door who will aid in kiosk check-ins. Check-out will also be done by kiosk.
