America’s newest river cruise operator will begin sailing this summer from New Orleans.
French America Line will operate five- to 10-day cruises on the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Cumberland and Red rivers from August using a single ship, the Louisiane.
The 150-passenger ship is a refurbished vessel formerly known as the Columbia Queen.
The line will offer a spa, and five restaurants and bars on the ship.
French America is operating a premium all-inclusive model with all sailings including a pre-cruise hotel stay, free excursions at every port, food and beverages and onboard Wi-Fi.
Staterooms will have French inspired decor and there is a choice of seven room categories including some with verandas.
The management team of French America includes experienced cruise industry executives Tom Markwell, formerly of Haimark and Christopher Kyte, ex-president of the American Queen Steamboat Co.
