SN Brussels Airlines has launched flights between the Belgian capital and Glasgow.

The carrier is to offer nine flights a week using Avro RJ aircraft and aims to carry 40,000 passengers on the route this year.

The airline’s CEO Peter Davies said: “This new route gives Glasgow a perfect link with the European continent and a rapid connection with SN’s European and intercontinental network.

“Thanks to our short transfer times we have an ideal flight product for anyone who wants to travel between Glasgow and Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Autria, Italy, France or Spain. This new connection is also excellent news for the growing conference business and for tourism in Scotland.”
