New senior VP sales and marketing for Shangri-La
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Barbara Pang as senior vice president sales and marketing.
She replaces Martin Waechter, Shangri-La’s chief marketing officer, who has left the luxury hotel group.
Reporting directly to chief operating officer Symon Bridle, she was previously VP marketing, with regional sales and marketing responsibilities.
Pang also held sales, marketing and management positions at Shangri-La’s two hotels in Hong Kong having joined the group in 1990 and rejoining in 2003.
In her new role, Pang will be responsible for the group’s brand communications, sales and distribution, revenue management, eBusiness, and loyalty and partner marketing.
