Northern Ireland Covid passports now enforceable

Hospitality venues across Northern Ireland must check Covid-19 passports from today or face fines of up to £10,000.
Covid-19 passports are now legally enforceable to ‘help limit the transmission of Covid-19 in higher risk settings.’
It will impact pubs, clubs and licenced restaurants, plus cinemas and theatres.
Customers entering venues can show their status on the CovidCertNI app or show a paper vaccination card.
Proof of a negative lateral flow test is also accepted.
Like in England, there is strong opposition to Covid-19 passports including First Minister Paul Givan.
Covid-19 passports have been in limited use in Wales and Scotland for weeks.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson could face a backbench revolt in a vote on Tuesday about introducing them in England.
