Teletext Holidays’ online retail arm This is Travel has named James Clarke as general manager.
He joins from independent tour operator Fleetway Travel where he was sales and marketing manager.
He will report to managing director Victoria Sanders and be responsible for increasing revenue, developing the product range and opening up new market opportunities.
Clarke said: “I hope to see the company expand into new markets such as cruise and ski by the end of the year.
“I’ll be recruiting new staff to help grow the business and we have at least four new roles within the sales team which I’m currently recruiting for.”
