Operators pin hopes on Black Friday
Major operators are hoping their week-long Black Friday promotions will entice the UK public to book a getaway.
Black Friday officially takes place at the end of this week, November 27, but most operators are starting promotions today or tomorrow and running them until next Monday.
Virgin Atlantic described its Black Friday sale as its ‘best ever’, with economy flights starting at £239 and Premium from £599 and Upper Class from £999.
It’s Black Friday deals start today (Monday) and tie in with the airline’s new St Vincent and the Grenadines flights, which launch tomorrow, starting at £349.
Flying Club members can get 50% off reward seats across the Virgin Atlantic network.
Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic said: "This year has been incredibly tough on everyone and at Virgin Atlantic, we’ve really missed seeing our customers onboard.
"With England’s second lockdown coming to an end, it is the perfect time for Brits to plan their next holiday. This year’s Black Friday sale is our most generous ever."
TUI has launched ‘seven days of deals’ across TUI, Marella Cruises and TUI River Cruise from today until 30 November.
Offers include £300 off on all summer 2021 Marella Cruises sailings and £250 off a TUI holiday over £3,000.
Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines unveiled savings on selected 2021 cruises as part of its week-long Black Friday sale, offering up to £700 off bookings made between 23 and 30 November.
The sale features 12 cruises, including a selection aboard Fred. Olsen’s newest additions to the fleet, Bolette and Borealis, with sailings ranging from short European city breaks, sunshine escapes and bucket list experiences.
Jackie Martin, Sales and Marketing Director at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: "2020 has left us all dreaming of our holidays, and we can’t wait to get our ships back in service next spring.

Princess Cruises’ Black Friday sale starts tomorrow until 30 November, with peak season sailings from £699 per person.
