OTC makes move to business travel
OTC has announced a marketing deal with Worldspan to promote its business travel management tool, Envoy.
Envoy was originally developed by Travelstore.com, which was bought by OTC in June, with the intention of building its share of the business travel market. Envoy includes customer and accounting management, flight and hotel reservations and the facility to book through a web browser.
Worldspan has been signed to promote the product and provide incentives to agents and corporate customers.
OTC chief executive, Mark Jones told TravelMole in recent weeks that Envoy is being redeveloped, and that OTC has plans to licence it. Some of the changes to content that OTC intend to make is to add no-frills airlines, hotels, rail, and ferries. Mr Jones told TravelMole that the aim was also to make the system more user friendly, while maintaining the detailed corporate travel policy function.
Mr Jones said the changes were gradually being made to Envoy, and he hoped to be able to announce some redevelopments soon.
