Over 700.000 Vietnam F&B businesses have closed
More than 700.000 Vietnamese F&B small businesses have suspended their operations due to the pandemic since 2020. Nguyen Quoc Ky, chairman of Vietravel and the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association told seminar delegates the general tourism industry will not recover without a thriving F&B sector.
Ky called on additional support for the sector and extension of VAT relief through 2023, which was supported by the Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association.
At the ‘Vietnam’s tourism-recovery and development’ seminar, Deputy Minister of Tourism Doan Van Viet said about 15% of all outbound tour operators applied for dissolution in 2020.
