Park Resorts buys Shanklin park
Holiday park operator Park Resorts has purchased Landguard Holidays at Shanklin on the Isle of Wight.
The park was purchased from Davidson Leisure Resorts for an undisclosed sum.
Half a mile from the coast, it consists of 121 caravans for holiday use and 16 pine lodges.
Facilities include indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, an entertainment complex, children’s outdoor play areas, shops and food outlets.
“This is an ideal purchase for us, enabling us to build on the popularity of our existing nearby Holiday Park at Lower Hyde.” said David Vaughan, managing director, Park Resorts.
The addition brings Park Resorts’ portfolio of 35 locations, including holiday parks at Thorness Bay, near Cowes and Nodes Point near Ryde.
