Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau has promoted Svetlana Yazovskikh to the post of executive director of tourism.
Yazovskikh most recently served as senior international tourism manager where she was responsible for sales and marketing functions for key overseas markets.
She has been at the PHLCVB since 2008.
"I am extremely pleased that Svetlana has accepted our offer to lead the PHLCVB’s tourism team. Her commitment to Philadelphia and our customers is unmatched. As we look to attract even more international visitors, her expertise will be critical in growing Philadelphia’s presence on the world stage," said president & CEO Julie Coker Graham.
Reporting to Coker Graham, she will lead the tourism team in increasing global exposure for Philadelphia as a destination both for overseas international leisure travel and domestic group travel.
"I’m honoured to be assuming this position at such an exciting time for our city. I look forward to leveraging all of the positive acclaim for our city to bring even more visitors to Philadelphia in the coming years," Yazovskikh said.
She will also oversee the activity of seven overseas representative offices in China, Denmark, India, Italy, France, Germany and the UK.
