Pleasure cruise passenger shot
A cruise boat passenger was shot and wounded after disembarking at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
The woman was leaving the Spirit of Chicago Booze Cruise boat when another passenger opened fire.
She was shot in the leg by a man who had previously been escorted off the boat, police said.
The two had been involved in a quarrel on the boat moments earlier.
She is recovering in hospital.
The suspect fled in a car although police said they have identified him.
“Our hearts go out the victim who is currently recovering in hospital. Our Halloween programming will go on as planned and operations are back to normal,” a Navy Pier spokesperson said.
It happened just after the boat returned to the dock just after midnight at the weekend.
