P&O announces new superliner’s brochure

P&O Cruises is to publish a dedicated brochure for new superliner Ventura, detailing itineraries, prices and the innovative features that will be on board from her launch in April 2008. The programme goes on sale on April 2, 2007.
Ventura will be based in Southampton from April to October, offering holidays of between 2 and 16 nights in duration in the Mediterranean, Baltic and Atlantic Isles. From October 2008 to March 2009 she will offer 14-night Caribbean fly-cruise holidays from Barbados.
P&O Cruises, commercial director, Nigel Esdale, said, “This brochure shows how Ventura will be different from other superliners. Ventura is all about choice and flexibility, she landmarks a new era in contemporary cruising and will be the most family- friendly cruise ship sailing from the UK.
“Ventura will offer an introduction to the culture and beauty of Europe and two-week inspired itineraries in the Caribbean. There is a choice of regional UK departure airports and passengers can even choose their day of departure – on either a Friday or Saturday – to tailor-make their holiday. And unlike most Caribbean cruise holidays, ours are varied 14 night itineraries, not repeated seven night itineraries.”
Ventura is being designed to appeal to British passengers and will offer a wide choice of dining, entertainment and relaxation. Two of Ventura’s three main restaurants will be dedicated to ‘Freedom Dining’ (dine when you like with whom you like) and it also has a restaurant created by Marco Pierre White.
Ventura has an array of evening venues. These include Metropolis with its 20 metre floor to ceiling plasma wall showing different city skylines in ‘real time’, Cuban-inspired salsa bar Havana, a comedy club and seven other bars and clubs to choose from. There is also Fortunes casino and The Arena – a 785 seat theatre featuring state of the art production facilities and flying performer capability.
Other highlights of the brochure include:
