PONANT latest global cruise line member of CLIA
French luxury cruise line PONANT has become the latest member of Cruise Lines International Association.
PONANT becomes CLIA’s 28th global cruise line member, following river cruise line CroisiEurope which signed up last month.
Both are part of CLIA’s Specialty Cruise Collection, which comprises 17 cruise lines in the small ship, river, luxury, coastal and adventure cruising segments.
"It is evident that the cruise industry is continuing to flourish and we are thrilled to see prestigious cruise lines around the world, such as PONANT, recognize the benefits of joining CLIA as a global member," said Adam M. Goldstein, CLIA Global Chairman.
"Global Cruise Line Members take advantage of access to thousands of CLIA travel agent and agency members as well as tap into vast marketing and promotional activities across CLIA’s 15 global offices," added Goldstein, who is also president and COO of Royal Caribbean Cruises.
PONANT specializes in luxury cruises aboard small yacht-style ships, featuring up to 122 staterooms.
"As the only French cruise line that specializes in luxury cruises and a world leader in polar expeditions, we are thrilled to move our CLIA membership to a global level and join the Specialty Cruise Collection," said PONANT founder and CEO Jean-Emmanuel Sauvée.
