Ponte Vedra adding meeting, spa space

Wednesday, 24 Jul, 2006 0

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, which introduced the spa experience to north Florida in 1987, will be nearly doubling its existing facility this year.

A $75 million renovation will also give the spa another 25,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as a new executive boardroom and business center.

The new spa will offer views of the golf course famous for its “island” hole.

Natural materials for the spa’s design include mahogany, rattan, bamboo and limestone. There will be 22 treatment rooms and 100 spa services. There will also be dedicated manicure, pedicure and hair styling stations.

Ponte Vedra is located about 30 miles from the Jacksonville International Airport.
