The Met Office has issued Amber weather warnings for almost a foot of snow today across parts of the north of England and north Wales.
It could impact road, rail and lead to air travel delays.
Parts of the Pennines and the Peak District could receive 25cm of snow on higher ground.
In fact, there are a multitude of weather alerts across the country with heavy rain and high winds in addition to snowfall.
Leisure airline Jet2 said: “We plan to operate our flights as close to schedule as possible, however, there may be some disruption should the weather deteriorate.”
“We advise all customers to allow extra time to get to the airport.”
“We will, where possible, board all flights for an on-time departure, however, please be prepared for a longer than normal wait.”
There are Yellow warnings for snow and ice across several areas across England and heavy rains are expected in southern England.
Forecasters predict widespread travel disruption and power cuts are also possible.
Some rural communities have a ‘good chance’ of being cut off temporarily, the Met Office said.
With ‘persistent and at times heavy snow,’ it could lead to major public transport disruption.
