Record Q1 earnings for Universal Orlando

Universal’s theme parks business shows ‘no signs of slowing down.’ The recovery has been ‘fantastic’ so far, says Comcast chief Brian Roberts.

Parks revenue increased $941 million to $1.6 billion in the first quarter of 2022. That represents a 152% increase from the same quarter in 2021. Universal Orlando reported its best first quarter ever.

Comcast cites ‘exceptional demand’ at Universal Orlando in Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood in California. Executives shared some new details about its upcoming Epic Universe park in Orlando, which will be ‘anchored by Super Nintendo World.’ Rpic Universe is expected to open in 2025.
