Rental car service first of its kind for groups
Avis and Budget rental cars are now available for booking online at group rates through Groople.com, a website for group hotel and air reservations.
Avis Budget Group, Inc., of Parsippany, NJ, which provides the private-label booking engine to Groople, claims that the new service is the first of its kind developed by a car-rental company for a group travel agency.
The service provides a side-by-side comparison of Avis and Budget car rentals to customers booking five or more cars at the same time.
The group rate is automatically reflected in the price, and individual drivers can select their car type and payment option online. Avis emphasizes service while Budget appeals to cost-conscious travelers, according to Groople.
Based in the suburban Denver town of Centennial, CO, Groople offers online group reservations for more than 60,000 hotels worldwide.
