Ritz Carlton coming to Fukuoka

Marriott International has inked a deal to expand its luxury portfolio in Japan.
A new Ritz Carlton, developed by Daimyo Project TMK, will take shape in Fukuoka.
It becomes the seventh Ritz Carlton in Japan.
It will form part of a new, 24-storey tower that will include high-end retail and office space in ‘Tenjin Big Bang,’ a new urban lifestyle development.
"The signing of this property underscores continued demand for The Ritz-Carlton brand 20 years after it first entered Japan and Fukuoka, with its rising inbound tourism, is an especially ideal location," said Craig S. Smith, Marriott president and MD of Asia Pacific.
It will offer 162 guest rooms and suites occupying the 18th to 24th floors, with six F&B outlets, the Ritz Carlton Club, a ballroom and meeting space.
It will also feature a wedding chapel, a luxury spa, pool and fitness centre.
