Ritz-Carlton names first ship
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first ship will be named Azora.
CEO Doug Prothero unveiled the new branding, which, he said, reflects the line’s primary colour scheme.
The blue hues of the ship’s decor ‘evokes the the sky and ocean’, Prothero said in a release, adding: "We wanted to select a name that embodies the wanderlust of a luxury journey at sea."
Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection officially launches in February 2020.
The first of three planned ships, Azora features 149 cabins, five dining venues and a spa.
There are four main categories of suites, each with a terrace, and all cruise fares are all-inclusive with dining, activities, gratuities and wifi included.
