This Christmas season, treat your family to a Rocky Mountaineer Vacation so they can enjoy the dazzling Canadian Rockies scenery and the festive magic of a traditional White Christmas in “The Land of a Million Christmas Trees”Ò while onboard the Rocky Mountaineer.

And to make the holiday experience even more cheerful, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations is offering one child, free travel onboard the festive Rocky Mountaineer winter train.  With eight departures to choose from throughout December an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime awaits, for all ages.

To enhance the truly enchanting holiday experience, the one child travels free promotion offers children between the ages of 2 – 11 years, complimentary travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer winter train when travelling with two full paying adults in GoldLeaf Service and occupying the same room in the Deluxe accommodation category on one of four superb winter packages.

Guests confirming the “One Child Travels For Free” promotion can choose from the popular Winter Wonderland, Canadian Rockies Winter Excursion, A Truly Canadian Christmas or the exceptional, Winter In The Canadian Rockies package with each incorporating a spectacular two day, all daylight rail adventure.

The festive experience begins onboard the Rocky Mountaineer Christmas-themed train, which journeys from Vancouver, British Columbia, through the snow-covered Canadian Rockies to the outdoor playground of Banff, Alberta, departing Vancouver, December 20 and 27, and westbound from Calgary, December 22 and 29, with an overnight stop in Kamloops.

Travelling through British Columbia, guests enjoy a magnificent range of dramatic scenery; from the gently sloping farmlands of the Fraser River Valley to the snow-dusted forests and winding river canyons before climbing over mountain passes and travelling through mountain tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. After a restful, overnight stay in Kamloops, guests reboard the Rocky Mountaineer on the second day, crossing into neighbouring Alberta through Kicking Horse Canyon and Spiral Tunnels of Yoho National Park, all the while enjoying a picturesque view of magnificent glaciers, frozen lakes, snow-capped peaks and millions of towering forest trees dressed in white.

Capturing the true festive spirit of the season is the dedicated specialty coach featuring a children’s entertainer along with live jazz for adults. And of course, the holiday season would not be complete without a visit from Santa. Jolly ol’ St. Nick joins in on the fun to deliver gifts for all when the train meets his broken down sleigh mid-route.

Guests are also pampered by Rocky Mountaineer’s Onboard Attendants, who provide friendly service and fascinating interpretive commentary on the passing landscape. GoldLeaf Service travellers also dine on freshly prepared a la carte regional cuisine as well as sumptuous seasonal dishes, including traditional Christmas turkey with all the trimmings.
