Royal Caribbean takes delivery of second Quantum class ship
German shipyard Meyer Werft formally handed over Royal Caribbean’s new ship Anthem of the Seas, the second in Royal’s Quantum class.
The ship will be inaugurated in Southampton, UK on April 20, christened by UK travel agent Emma Wilby and will then sail European itineraries until the fall.
US customers will get their first look at the 18-deck, 4,200-passenger Anthem when it arrives at Cape Liberty, N.J in November.
Standout features of Anthem include the RipCord by iFLY skydiving simulator, a toatal of 30 bars and restaurants, and SeaPlex which houses bumper cars, a roller disco, a circus school, and other sports.
From Cape Liberty Cruise Port the ship will sail itineraries to Bermuda, the Caribbean, Canada and New England.
