Ryanair launches new route from Manchester to Cork
Ryanair announced an extended winter schedule at Manchester, with the addition of a new route from Manchester to Cork, operating twice daily from 15 December.
This new route is part of Ryanair’s largest ever winter schedule at Manchester, with over 650 weekly flights to over 72 destinations.
Ryanair recently announced a $200m investment in Cork Airport with the re-opening of its two-aircraft base.
Ryanair’s Director of Commercial, Jason McGuinness, said: "We are delighted to add this new twice daily route from Manchester to Cork which will allow UK and Irish families to reconnect this Christmas."
The airline said it welcomes the UK Government’s decision to reduce domestic APD from summer 2023, but says it is too little, too late to kick start the UK’s tourism recovery, particularly for summer 2022.
A delay in implementing it will only hamper the airline industry’s ability to rapidly rebuild connectivity and jobs.
