Samoa Tourism on show at the Rugby World Cup
Over the past week, the Samoa Tourism Authority has been working hard raising awareness of the destination at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
Their European office hopes to capitalise with three campaigns running in England and France.
Samoa Tourism kicked off with a digital campaign last week running on screens across Toulouse, Bordeaux, St Etienne and Lille to win tickets to the Samoa vs England game on 7 October in Lille.
People scan a QR code, complete a form and follow @samoatoursim on Instagram or Facebook for the chance to win tickets.
Winners will be announced on 6 October, with tickets emailed to the winners.
Samoa Tourism ran a webinar on 19 September in French: Beautiful Samoa – Le rugby a une addresse – for French and Belgian travel trade partners.
They learnt more about destination and had a prize draw to win a ticket to the Samoa vs. England match.
The final campaign activity is an afternoon event for 50 travel agents and tour operators based around London.
They are being invited to a watch party for the Samoa vs Argentina match on Friday 22 September at Clubhouse 5 in London’s Leicester Square.
As well as a destination update and food and drinks, Samoan rugby shirts and signed balls are up for grabs.

Alison Cryer from Samoa Tourism Authority UK said: “The Rugby World Cup is an excellent opportunity for us to raise awareness of the country.”
“The campaign is designed to be fun and informative, as well as encourage people to engage in the spirit of the tournament.”
