Sarah Brightman launches Seabourn Encore
Seabourn’s newest and biggest ship, Encore, has set off on its inaugural cruise after a christening ceremony in Singapore.
The ship’s godmother, British soprano Sarah Brightman, launched the upscale cruise ship, which is 25% bigger than the other ships in the fleet, with capacity to hold 33% more passengers.
A sister ship to Encore called Seabourn Ovation is on order for delivery in 2018.
Encore is on a 10-night inaugural voyage to Indonesia and will spend the next few months in Australasia, before being based in the Mediterranean for summer 2017.
