Scotland set to allow some quarantine-free overseas travel
Scotland is set to allow some overseas travel without the need to quarantine on return. It will reportedly implement a traffic lights system similar to England which would take effect on 24 May.
Details are likely to be revealed at a Covid briefing later today. Like England, quarantine-free travel will be based on a destination’s Covid situation and vaccine rates.
Currently, the Scottish government allows foreign travel for ‘essential reasons’ only. In England, quarantine-free travel is permitted to just a dozen countries and territories.
