An airport security agent has been arrested on terror charges after threatening a shooting spree at Sioux Falls Regional Airport
Connor Park, 22, who works as a screening agent under contract with the Transportation Security Administration, allegedly told a colleague he wanted to ‘shoot up’ his place of work, targeting superiors.
The co-worker then reported his comments to authorities.
"I think all the credit goes to this other employee that heard that information and passed it along," said Sioux Falls Police Department spokesman Sam Clemens.
"We would rather know that information ahead of time and possibly prevent something as opposed to trying to pick up the pieces later," said Clemens.
Park was charged with making terroristic threats.
The threat was deemed credible after law enforcement searched Park’s home and recocered several firearms.
