Severe turbulence injures seven on Hawaiian Airlines flight
Seven people were injured on a Hawaiian Airlines flight bound for Australia after another serious case of turbulence.
The injured included three flight attendants.
It was ‘unexpected severe turbulence; the airline said, which hospitalized three people.
It happened midway through the 11-hour flight to Sydney.
The Airbus A330 aircraft landed safely at Sydney Airport with 12 people assessed by medical personnel.
“We thank Sydney airport first responders for their swift assistance,” Hawaiian Airlines said.
“Our priority is to continue to care for our passengers and crew affected by this turbulence event.”
The Sydney region had been buffeted by strong winds for several days which led to about 100 flight cancellations.
Just a few months ago severe turbulence on a Hawaii bound flight sent 20 people to hospital.
