Silverjet is now allowing its customers to take two items of hand luggage on board.
The airline says the new rules will appeal to business travellers, who on average only travel with two items of baggage.
“The increased baggage allowance will now enable them to take both items on board the aircraft and enjoy the airline’s check in time of just 30 minutes,” said a spokesman.
Any customer checking baggage in excess of two pieces will be charged an excess baggage fee currently at the rate of £60.
