Silversea has set sail on its 2025 World Cruise Controtempo, cruising to 59 destinations in 30 countries.
Concluding in New York on May 29, 2025, guests experience iconic cities and off-the-beaten-path destinations in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America aboard Silver Dawn.
“Controtempo will open the world to even the most well-travelled guests like never before, allowing them to journey deeper into four diverse continents,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea.
“Traveling from East to West, Controtempo – a musical term meaning ‘off-tempo’ – will take guests closer to the authentic heartbeat of destinations, with more time ashore.
“Together with our exclusive signature events, which we have specially curated to give our guests an experience they can’t get anywhere else.”
The world cruise is split across nine segments visiting 59 destinations in 30 countries.
This includes 19 calls that are new to a Silversea World Cruise.
Controtempo also represents the first time a Muse-Class ship has sailed a World Cruise.
Built in 2021, Silver Dawn is the third ship in Silversea’s popular Muse Class, and features Silversea’s innovative culinary program S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste), and the Otium spa and wellness program.
Upon their arrival in Tokyo, guests were given an airside meet and greet, hospitality suite hosted by Silversea leadership, and a Bon Voyage lunch celebration.
Exclusive events during the world cruise include a Hoi An for Foodies (Vietnam) evening, which features a sunset cruise, and Dinner Between the Dunes (Namibia).
