Singapore Airlines celebrates 50 years of London flights with commemorative gin
Singapore Airlines has marked its half-century milestone flying to London with the launch of a commemorative gin.
It teamed up with London family gin distiller, Hayman’s to produce the Connoisseur Dry Gin, which celebrates the airline’s 50th anniversary of flying between London and Singapore.
The airline started the route with three weekly London flights in 1971.
The special Singapore Airlines blend mixes Hayman’s London Dry Gin with Asian flavours such as kumquat, lemongrass, galangal and Persian lime.
It is small-batch distilled using Hayman’s traditional two-day distillation process.
The commemorative gin is available to purchase via haymansgin.com, and will also feature exclusively within the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge at Heathrow T2 from 1 September.
Members of Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer frequent flyer programme will also benefit from a special offer.
