Singapore to enforce traveller quarantine with electronic tagging

The sign of things to come? Singapore will allow some travellers and returning residents to self-isolate at home and in hotels but they’ll be closely monitored. It raises the obvious privacy concerns but the government pledges not to store any personal data.
Singapore has some of the toughest penalties in the world for quarantine violations. It’s an extra level of protection but will travellers accept it as a small price to pay for opening up the destination for tourism?
