Six injured in Dollywood theme park tram crash

Dollywood will not be issued with citations from police following a tram collision at the Pigeon Forge theme park.
A tram slammed into another one at the park at the weekend, causing ‘minor to moderate injuries’ according to a police crash report.
Six park guests were taken to hospital as well as ‘several children for precautionary measures,’ it said.
"Injuries ranged from a possible broken wrist, concussions, lacerations, back and neck injuries, police officer Michael Wright wrote in the report.
It cited guests’ complaints that there were no first aid kits on the trams and a lengthy wait for first responders to arrive.
The tram driver said he was unable to stop the vehicle before it collided and police said it would not proceed with any citations.
Park management said it was a low speed crash with the vehicle travelling about 10 mile per hour.
